Week 2: She-shed One Room Challenge

Week 2 of the One Room Challenge on my she-shed has passed, and I’m teetering between feeling overwhelmed and excited for the bits of progress. There’s a LOT more to come. But in today’s update, I figure it’s high time to share some before pictures GULP and more of my plans. Renan definitely came to the rescue this week!

So how did we get here?

If you’re a long-time friend or subscriber, (first of all, hey! 👋) you might have noticed my hiatus online. And all of a sudden I come back with this One Room Challenge?

To learn more about my back-story for the space and the One Room Challenge, check out Episode #194 of my IG Lives and the Week 1 Blog Post.

And thank you for the love on this post! Happy to be returning to social media with this epic DIY.

This week’s progress

Decluttering takes a LOT of motivation and time for most people, but trying to declutter in my shed without AC in 80-95 degrees? Talk about swimming against the stream! So the first thing that needed to happen was hooking up the new portable AC.

And I’m extra elated to report, that my plan to convert the previous dryer vent to the portable AC’s vent worked…with some handyman execution from Renan! Which is light-years better in my opinion than having the dorky looking ventilation tubing riding up the wall and connected to the bottom of the window.

Also, major shout-out to him this week for helping me clear out about 25% of shed. There’s much more decluttering yet to come! But I think I’ll need to get more decisive on what furniture stays and goes…

There might even be a 3D render in the next post with some ideas I had on the road this weekend.
